Betydelsen av rum is a site-specific work for the exhibition Point of View in Steneby konsthall. A voice guiding you through the exhibition space is interwoven with music composed from sound recordings in the gallery. The work also includes extracts from texts by Andy Farnell, Pauline Oliveros, Rebecca Solnit and Peter Wohlleben. Texts that in different ways refer to listening and solidarity.
Thanks to Christian ”Kiwi” Berg who composed the music and Karin Ström who wrote the song Betydelsen av rum that you hear at the end of the work. The song also inspired the work’s title.
